Experience the serene atmosphere and restorative energy of nature with the WALK IN THE WOODS essential oil blend. Designed to capture the essence of a peaceful forest walk, this blend combines carefully selected essential oils to provide both aromatic delight and holistic benefits for mind and body. Whether you seek relaxation, emotional balance, or simply a touch of woodland tranquility in your daily routine, this blend offers a harmonious path to well-being.

Benefits of Each Essential Oil

The WALK IN THE WOODS essential oil blend is a refreshing combination crafted to evoke the tranquility and vibrancy of a forest stroll. Here are the benefits of each essential oil included in this blend:

  • Bergamot*: Bergamot oil is known for its uplifting and mood-enhancing properties. It can help reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, and sadness, promoting a sense of calm and emotional balance.

  • Lemon: Lemon oil offers a clean, invigorating aroma that can boost energy and mental clarity. It is also recognized for its purifying and detoxifying effects, supporting a fresh and positive atmosphere.

  • Sandalwood: Sandalwood oil is valued for its grounding and soothing qualities. It helps calm the mind, encourages relaxation, and may support meditation and mindfulness practices.

  • Rose: Rose oil is celebrated for its comforting, heart-opening scent. It can reduce feelings of stress and tension, promote emotional well-being, and foster a sense of inner peace.

**For topical use, always use Bergamot FCF to minimize risk of photosensitivity. Perform a patch test before applying widely.

Making a Stock Blend

To simplify preparation and ensure consistency when making diffusers, inhalers, or roller bottles, you can create a stock blend of WALK IN THE WOODS essential oils. This stock blend is a concentrated mixture of the pure essential oils, which can be stored and used as needed for various applications.

  1. Choose a clean glass bottle: Select a dark glass bottle (such as amber or cobalt blue) with a tight-fitting cap to help preserve the oils and prevent oxidation. A 3ml or 5 ml bottle works well for this. (I like to use a recycled essential oil bottle)

  2. Combine essential oils: Using the proportions provided for the blend, add your oils directly to the bottle. 8 drops bergamot FCF*, 8 drops lemon, 8 drops sandalwood, and 7 drops rose.

  3. Label the bottle: Clearly label your stock blend with the name, ingredients, date, and any safety notes. If not using Bergamot FCF you would label the bottle NOT for topical use.

  4. Store safely: Keep your stock blend in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, children, and pets.

*For topical use, always use Bergamot FCF to minimize risk of photosensitivity. Perform a patch test before applying widely.

How to Use WALK IN THE WOODS Blend

Using an Essential Oil Diffuser

  1. Add clean, room-temperature water to the fill line of your diffuser.

  2. Add the recommended number of drops of the stock blend to your diffuser as instructed by the manufacturer.

  3. Secure the lid and turn on the diffuser according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  4. Enjoy the calming forest-inspired aroma as it fills your space, promoting relaxation and a peaceful atmosphere.

Using a Personal Aromatherapy Inhaler

  1. Add 15 drops of the essential oil master blend (you may adjust for strength, but keep the same proportions) to a small glass bowl or beaker.

  2. Roll a blank cotton wick in the oil blend until it is fully saturated.

  3. Insert the scented wick into the inhaler tube and cap securely.

  4. To use, open the inhaler and hold it just under your nose, taking slow, deep breaths to experience the blend's benefits wherever you go.

Making a 10ml Roller Bottle

To enjoy the WALK IN THE WOODS blend on-the-go, you can create a 10ml roller bottle for easy topical application. Follow these steps:

  1. Gather your ingredients: You will need a 10ml glass roller bottle, your stock blend, and a carrier oil (such as fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil).

  2. Add the essential oils: Mix your essential oils in a small bottle then add 5 drops of the blend to the 10 ml bottle. This gives you a 2.5% dilution rate.

  3. Fill with carrier oil: Top off the bottle with your chosen carrier oil, filling to the shoulder of the bottle (just below the neck).

  4. Attach roller and cap: Secure the roller ball onto the bottle and cap tightly.

  5. Mix: Gently roll the bottle between your hands to mix the oils.

  6. Use: Apply to pulse points (wrists, temples, neck) as desired

*For topical use, always use Bergamot FCF to minimize risk of photosensitivity. Perform a patch test before applying widely.
